Create Your Worst Life

Jacob Wellock • November 2, 2026

IS THIS YOU?

One of the greatest things you can do in life is to start off your day with an influx of information from people you have never met before. Opening up your social media or emails before your feet hit the floor.

Scroll on your phone while you drink your coffee, never look up.

Go to your job and clock in your typical hours with no real effort.

Go to the gym and just go through the motions with little to no intensity.

Get home, turn on the tv, pour yourself a drink and convince yourself that you earned this.

Go to bed, rinse and repeat.

If this sounds anything like you, you may just be living the worst version of your life. Now, if this is truly your ideal day and you know deep down you enjoy this, then no problems. Honestly, I am probably just jealous.

If this is you, I wish you the best and you can probably stop reading here.

If this isn’t you, than I would encourage you to completely reverse engineer this.

Do the opposite of what you have been doing and see if it makes a difference.

Instead of morning scroll sessions, start with a set of push ups, journal something you are grateful for, a morning prayer, whatever it may be for you. Instead of coffee, maybe try a glass of water first. Instead of just getting through your day at work, choose a task and dominate it. Instead of just moving through your workout routine, shorten it up and push it, make it hard. Instead of tv at the end of the day, either shorten up how much you watch, read a book, make something with your hands or stare at the wall and see what it’s like to be bored for a few minutes.

Your life doesn’t have to be on auto pilot and it only is average if you choose to be.

Sometimes the switch to living a great life is done in small repeatable efforts, not in audacious and outlandish ways.
